By completing this Overhead Crane and Lift Trucks course, you will be able to comply with applicable laws compliance and give your operators essential skills to lift and transport safely using an overhead crane.This
course is designed to equip employees with the various skillincident and accident investigation tools / systems when an emergency response is necessary, as well as how to implement control measures in the workplace.

Case studies are used to encourage discussion around the relevant documentation on how to lodge a claim for compensation with the Compensation Commissioner, and what the Act states with regards to incidents and accidents.

CRANES AND LIFT TRUCKS COURSE COURSE OVERVIEW

Overhead Crane and Lift Trucks Training Course includes the following:

-Conducting a pre-start check

-Legal requirements

-Hazards associated with cranes

-Rigging and slinging safety

-Identifying and understanding a loads centre of gravity

-Safe working practices when lifting loads

-Shut down and maintenance procedures

-Theory and practical assessments

Materials Provided:

A workbook and supplementary handouts are provided as reference material for the written test.

A theoretical Examination and Practical Test will follow each Module. To ensure understanding you must maintain a 75% Pass mark for each module.

Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved. Supplemental materials necessary to complete this course can be accessed online.

Duration:

This Overhead Crane and Lift Trucks training is an in-class program that can be completed in 4 days. Upon completion, operators are awarded a Overhead Crane and Lift Trucks Certification.

Re-certifications

In terms of the law, all Operators who apply for Re-certifications need to be in possession of a Novice course certificate. Please be aware that certificates need to be renewed within three months after date expiry.

Accredited Training believes that training should yield benefits, far more substantial than just “a Certificate”. We offer a free service that will remind all Companies or private Operators that their certificates need to be renewed.
